Dance in the Fells: Wright’s Pond
A festival of new, site-specific dance created for and performed in four areas of Wright’s Pond, a historic public space and community park located on Elm Street in Medford, MA. The history of Wright’s Pond includes its creation as an auxiliary water source for Spot Pond in 1884, its 10-year stint as the location of the Medford film industry (1917-1928), and its current life as a community park and beach. We believe that “site” is a geographical location, a landscape, a history, and plans for the future. The performance will take place on Saturday, October 12th, between 12-4 PM.
(Rain date, Sunday, October 13.
